currently: thinking of a cool status update

things i've written.

I've been an avid writer for as long as I can remember. Throughout the years, I've experimented with many different styles of writing. As with the rest of my creative endeavors and skills, I am flexible and adaptable. I've written for my high school's journalism program, as well as smaller magazines and publications, taking on feature writing, beats, columns, and even creative writing pieces like short stories or even essays.

I am always looking to expand my horizons, and in the future I hope to dive into more topics and styles.

 Scot Scoop | online:
During my sophomore year in high school, I wrote for my journalism program's online platform, Scot Scoop. During this time, I was expected to write articles about events within 72-or-so hours of the event happening for timeliness. See all my articles and photos here.

Though I actually haven't written beats since then, I am the program's social media director. See here for our Pacemaker portfolio for socials. See here for some examples of design used for socials.

The Highlander | newspaper:
During my junior year, I began writing for my school's newspaper, The Highlander. I've written articles around 600 to 800 words in length in multiple categories, including features, news, and opinion pieces. I also occasionally create art to accompany spreads.
